Meet Rob Keding, a recent graduate in Civil Engineering from DePaul University in Chicago, IL. Rob got a job right out of college at HBK Engineering as a survey engineer, and he says that some of his passion for civil engineering came from playing the SimCity computer game as a kid.

Watch his veteran partner, Dave, send a beam of light from his prism to Rob’s total station to get measurements of every piece of “street furniture” on the block. After they have these exact measurements they can develop a precise map of the area for contractors to install underground utilities.
