Every single day there are laborers working outside, under tough circumstances, to keep our lives comfortable and used to the everyday things we take for granted. Planet Underground TV spent a bitterly cold day in Bensenville, Illinois on a job site with such a crew, the hard-working professionals of Electric Conduit Construction. Working under difficult conditions, these guys were kind enough to take time to talk to us about a wide variety of topics, including: mis-located lines, the importance of hand-digging and using vacuum excavation, working with safety-minded crews, and more.
Episode 4: Going Above and Beyond at O’Hare
An Electric Conduit Construction crew had the task of lowering inner ducts to put a driveway in off busy Irving Park Rd. near O'Hare airport, but when they were lowering the ducts they saw that a fiber had previously been hit. That fiber just happened to lead to the airport.
